BLS fans had better watch out because they're back with an album that will make a huge impact on those who are already acquainted with the band's classic hard rocking sound just as much as those who are BLS novices. It's not exactly a suprise that the guitar work is phenomenal, it can almost go unsaid when considering that it is Zakk Wylde, of Ozzy Osbourne legendary fame, supplying the outstanding solos and riffs from the lead guitar.
Black Label Society can't fit into a pigeon hole of modern music genres as such, being too classic metal based to be considered a new movement of music and being too original to be classed as out of date. The album is a mix of mellow, melody based epic song movements and hard hitting rock songs with gritty, screaming guitar riffs and solos. Combined with Ozzy inspired vocals, Shot to Hell is a rollercoaster of an album fuelled with many different layers and emotions and it never once loses its hardcore rock 'n' roll roots.
