It's thursday so we must be at Middlesbrough's premier indie/Alternative night Needle Damage at The Arena on Newport Road..
Tonight see's The Jazz Thieve's debut at the venue alongside The 15 Minute Society.
Unfortunately the venue is pretty quiet for our openers, but the band get down to business as though it really counts, and treat us to a well rehearsed set of pretty safe pop/rock tunes.
We had received a copy of the bands demo some months before, and thankfully this represents nothing of what the band have to offer when playing live, with any luck they'll get themselves into a decent studio and produce something that will move the band forward a little...
After a short break The 15 Minute Society throw themselves onto the stage as frontman pop (ex-Piglatin) gives us his masterclass in how to be a frontman with his hybrid Jagger/pattern/chaos esq style escapades.
The band also seem to be developing a certain style they can almost call their own since recruiting a new drummer and changing the band's name..
The songs? well they are dirty, fast and very rock and roll but you've got to watch out for "The Prison Song" as it's pretty catchy..

The 15 Minute Society could be one of those bands you either love or hate, but you can't help but be entertained by the show...
