Fuelblooded - Inflict the Inevitable

This band have been around for a while, even if you have not yet heard of them. From 1989 to 2002 they were named Sacramental Sachem but now, under the title of ‘Fuelblooded’, the five piece band hailing from the Netherlands have been given their chance to attack the UK’s listeners, working with Copro Records….. and they certainly do it with some style.

The tracks have a fast tempo, uniting sludgy, grinding guitar riffs with impressive rapid solo work. The use of layered vocals on some of the tracks also give the band an edge that is reminiscent of InFlames and this only adds to Fuelblooded’s well shaped sound.

The songs are sharp, compact and punchy and the drumming ensures this, keeping perfect pace and providing an excellent back drop for the guitars to feed off. Every track is inspired by energy, there is not a dull moment throughout the album and you reach the end feeling satisfied that you have just spent the last forty two minutes of your life listening to a well executed metal album.

‘Dissector of Souls’ is a brilliant example of what this band can do and definitely shows off their talents, however it is the title track that really impresses. ‘Inflict the Inevitable‘ starts of with a few eerie riffs and brutal drum beats and delivers what it promises - a savage track with everything any metal fan could hope for; excellent guitar work, pneumatic drumming, hellish vocals and all put together to cause maximum impact on the listener’s ear drums. Definitely one to listen out for if you think you can handle it.
