Now then, here's something i can really get into this is good, so good infact my Call of Duty gaming has gotten a lot better, not that this is anything whatsoever to do with music it demonstrates to me at least that really good music can have a positive effect on your day to day life.
In the press blurb i got with this it says these guys formed in Autumn 2004 thats not even 3 years ago yet and already they have produced something of this standard and won Metal Hammers first ever Demo of the year with their last recording Vengeance (E.P.).
This is Metal, hard, fast, and thouroughly enjoyable. Listening to it you can see the influences listed by the band drawn into their own music, Pantera and Machine Head being the most apparent to me, not that this is a copy of these bands mearly a nod in the direction of those that have had an impact on their musical taste and you know what it works well.
If i hadn't got this to review i would certainly be out trying to find it in the shops, this is a band that have a real future in the music scene, too often there are bands that are touted by the record companies as the newest big thing and in all honesty too often we are let down miserably, after putting our hands in pocket and laying out hard cash for the album you find a few good songs on the album and then feel cheated that the rest aren't up to standard, not so with this, Speed Theory have got a diamond of an album here and if you haven't got it all i'm gonna ask is WHY?
