Here it is, the exact reason why Metal Blade Records are undeniably one of the best labels to get signed to for bands outside of the Roadrunner vision – bands like Sonic Reign that are not afraid to be heavy as f*ck. Deep, grating, growling vocals layered upon heavy metal riffs and pneumatic drumming; techniques guaranteed to put a smile on any metalhead’s face.
Raw Dark Pure, sums it up exactly. With some vocal effects and a tendency to interject sections of melody, Sonic Reign ensure they are not just creating a noise, but are producing well-rounded death metal tracks, affected heavily by black metal influences, ultimately leading to a highly enjoyable album to listen to. Each song hits listeners hard and fast, soaring high with rapid guitar work and crashing back down to earth with murderous vocals and heavy drops leading into sickeningly fast drumming and riff based sections.
